It is time for the CPA Spring 2025 Awards, with the deadline fast approaching this weekend. Please visit the CPA website to learn more about the awards and guidelines. If you have any questions about the CPA award, please reach out to me in the time that remains. Furthermore, there are two summer fellowships, the Gurney Travel Fellowship for Juniors and the Richter Fellowship. The deadlines for these awards are also approaching.

The 2026 Yale Alumni Association Public Service Award nomination process has been extended to January 24th. This is a great opportunity to nominate a fellow Yalie (or self-nominate) for this prestigious individual service award. The Yale Alumni Association Public Service Awards are presented annually to recognize sustained public service that is individual, innovative, impactful, and inspiring. The recipients are three Yalies - a Yale College student, a graduate or professional school student, and a member of the alumni body - all of whom have demonstrated service that draws on the Yale community and benefits the world beyond Yale. For more information, including names of recent and past winners, visit YAA website.

Positions are currently available for full-time fellowships and summer internships, both starting in summer 2026. Swensen Fellows work on the most complex strategic challenges facing Yale and help university leaders to make decisions that advance Yale’s mission. Please see their website for more information on the position, desired profile, and application instructions. Applications are now open and due by January 30th at 11:59 pm EST. Micah Draper, President of the YCC Sophomore Class Council, writes to say that this year’s Sophomore Formal will be held on Friday, January 23rd, from 9 pm-12 am at the Omni Hotel in downtown New Haven. The theme is *Casino Night*! All sophomores are invited, and members of other classes can attend with a guest ticket! Tickets can be purchased here!

Gus Renzin TC ’27 would like you to know that Students in the Public School Internship Program serve in a critical role as liaisons between a New Haven public school and the Yale community by making a 2-year commitment to one institution, learning the needs of the community, and directing resources from Yale and Dwight Hall in support of the school. In contrast to much volunteering, which often begins with volunteers deciding what to provide, PSIs ask what schools need and think creatively about how Yale community can support them. PSIs are expected to spend at least 5 hours onsite each week (6 hours preferred) and 4-5 additional off-site hours (if needed) working on PSI-related work, along with completing weekly reports and attending once-a-month all-PSI meetings. Since this is a 2-year position that will start in Fall 2026, only current first-year and sophomore students are eligible to apply. This application is rolling, but the final deadline is January 19th at 11:59 pm. Learn more about the position on our PSI website and apply here.

I wish you good luck for the semester. As the intramurals resume, I hope to see some of you at the upcoming events.

Moo-Rah!

Sincerely,
Head Hyder
