TRUMBULL COLLEGE DEAN’S NOTES: October 16, 2023

I’m counting down to the break, and I imagine you are, too.  Almost there!  I missed Yale Dining’s fall fest this year, but was happy they still had all of the goodies in the dining hall – those potatoes were great, right?  It was also nice seeing some of you at the orchard yesterday – Sahej and I met my mom and sister there, and met the Trumbull group that was there for the apple-picking trip. Fun fun!  Here’s a little montage from yesterday. Hayrides are super fun!

I want to remind you (again) that YC3 is available for 1:1 support to students.  You can book appointments with their Wellness Specialists (shoutout to Whitney Simmons, who is affiliated with Trumbull) or College Care Clinicians directly on their website.  Please don’t hesitate to reach out to them: https://yalecollege.yale.edu/getting-help/yale-college-community-care-yc3.

Later this week, catch up on sleep and enjoy the beautiful fall colors.  On that note, I will be out of the office Wednesday – Friday.  I will check e-mail periodically, but please take note of my auto-reply.  Have a wonderful break, everyone!! :)

**Again, please note that Alice is out of the office through the October Recess.  She will return on Monday, October 23rd. Please take note of the sign on the door if you stop by.**

And don’t forget to scroll all the way through the weekly DNs – there are a bunch of blurbs under “Other”, including some opportunities that have deadlines within the next week.

Meeting with me
To make an appointment, please use the Calendly scheduling tool, https://calendly.com/dean_c.  Please reach out to Alice with any scheduling issues.  For in-person meetings, please come to the office. My OPEN ZOOM office hours for each week are listed on the top of my Calendly page. When you click on the Zoom link, you will be placed into a waiting room. I will speak to students (one-on-one) in the order they “arrive”.  My upcoming open hours are on TUESDAY, October 17th (2-4pm).

Please note that I teach on Wednesday mornings during the fall term.
