Dean’s Notes 10-2-23

October 2, 2023

TRUMBULL COLLEGE DEAN’S NOTES: October 2, 2023

October is here!  I’m looking forward to meeting families this upcoming weekend – the reception that takes place at Head Hyder’s house is one of my favorite events.  Hoping to see you (you don’t have to have family visiting to attend!) and your families at the reception on Saturday afternoon.

You’ve probably noticed a lot of sniffling and coughing in your classrooms.  With midterm season upon us, don’t forget: Getting rest is very important and Vitamin C is your friend!  Stay well and get well soon if you already got sick.

In addition to it being midterm season, there are a bunch of deadlines coming up – for spring term study abroad and various fellowships.  In “Other” (scroll to the end), there are a couple of blurbs about deadlines, one of them being the Swensen Fellowship in Strategic Analysis, which has a deadline today.  It’s always good to take a quick scroll through DNs to see what’s coming.

It’s also not too early to start counting down to October break! ;)  Hang in there with everything and have a great week!

Meeting with me
To make an appointment, please use the Calendly scheduling tool, https://calendly.com/dean_c.  Please reach out to Alice with any scheduling issues.  For in-person meetings, please come to the office. Please note that I teach on Wednesday mornings during the fall term.
