Hello Trumbullians!

A lot’s happened since I last wrote. On Friday before The Game, the bulb planting with Bill Carone at the TC Courtyard with crazy donuts and hot chocolate had a great turnout, although I was preoccupied by some other demands elsewhere around campus. Most importantly, on Saturday Yale won! Many Trumbull almuni enjoyed pizza at the TC Common Room after the victory, courtesy of Dean Chandhoke, alas Associate Head Anita Sharif-Hyder and I had to leave right after The Game for a wedding in New Jersey. When we returned later that Saturday night, the campus was empty suddenly!

I sincerely hope that you had good break over Thanksgiving. Associate Head Anita Sharif-Hyder and I were here in New Haven over the break (with lots of family), and we also saw many Trumbullians enjoy the lavish Thanksgiving meal at the Omni Hotel on Thursday afternoon.

This note will be short and simple as you have lots going on till end of semester. I urge you to pace yourself. Much work is to be done, but take care of yourselves and look out for one another. Get some sleep and exercise, if possible, but eat well. On the sleep part - please keep the noise level down during study periods. On the exercise part - please turnout for IM events coming up, from next week into spring semester. On the eating part - look out for the study breaks coming up shortly. Note that the upcoming Holiday Dinners will be memorable events! Our Dining Hall staff goes all out for these dinners.

The theatrical events with Trumbullians will continue. In early to mid-December are Alice by Heart (TBD; November 30-December 2) featuring director and musical director featuring Sophie Dvorak, Arsenic and Old Lace (TBD; November 30-December 2) featuring performers Samantha Fisher (as Teddy Brewster), Tybee Feiler (as Elaine Harper), and Serengeti Cox-Rodriguez (as Jonathan Brewster), and Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 (Theater and Performance Studies Black Box; December 7-9) featuring performer Jordi Bertrán Ramírez (as Anatole Kuragin). Also be on the lookout for many exhibits upcoming shortly by our many CPA award recipients!

Moo-Rah!

Sincerely,
Head Hyder
