Hello Trumbullians!
As the reading week approaches, spring has certainly arrived with the tulips fully visible all around the Courtyard.
Last Saturday afternoon, many of you enjoyed the Excursion to Wooster Square Farmer’s Market where the cherry blossoms were in full bloom (organized by Grad Affiliate Shah Khan). Last Monday evening, senior Trumbullians enjoyed sushi with presentations at the Mellon Forum held in the HoC House. Last Tuesday afternoon, there was a Tea with a restaurant/hospitality specialist Ahris Kim in the Common Room. Many CPA productions are also being exhibited widely across campus. Today the Pamplona returns to the Courtyard. Thanks to many Trumbullians who hosted Bulldog Days. Tomorrow is the Spring Fling at Old Campus. Yu-Ting Chang ’27 and Lucas Zimmerman ’27, representing the Yale Astronomical & Space Student Society, would like you to consider joining the first-ever Dark Sky Trip for an unforgettable night of stargazing at a nature preserve in northwestern CT! Look through telescopes and learn how to capture stunning images of the night sky, with dinner and snacks provided. This event will be happening this Sunday 4/27 4:30pm-1:30am — spots are limited, so register now!
Meridian Monthy ’25 would like you to know that Trumbull College is unique in its connectedness. This semester, she helped revive The Town Crier, a tradition created by her father in the 1990s, commemorates our ability to celebrate each other and the diversity contained within our community. During Family Dinner on Sundays, The Town Crier stands in front of the dining hall full of Trumbullians and cries “Moo Yee, Moo Yee” to direct peoples’ attention to the fun accomplishments, performances, games, and announcements in the college. A special Moo-Rah cheer for Meridian Monthy ’25, who also just happens to be a Head FroCo!
As always, I advise you to practice common sense approaches for personal safety in all circumstances. Move in small groups and use Safety Officers for walking across campus.
Here’s to getting through the rest of the semester safe and well. Please drop by and say hello/goodbye before you depart for your exciting summer excursions!
Moo-Rah!
Sincerely,
Head Hyder
