Hello Trumbullians!
I sincerely hope that your exam week has been going well due to your preparedness over the semester. Despite the busy time of the year, I got to see many Trumbullians over the last few days.
Last Saturday afternoon (12/6), several Trumbull students and alumni, as well as some of our dining hall staff, gathered at Nick Chapel Theater for a Watch Party of the Yale vs. Montana State Football Game. It was a very competitive game for the Bulldogs! Later that evening, Graduate Affiliate Anna Rios accompanied a few Trumbullians to the Yale Rep to see Hedda Gabler. Also starting that Saturday evening and for the next several evenings were a series of Study Breaks hosted by various members of the Trumbull community. The Sunday evening (12/7) Study Break hosted by Associate Head Anita Sharif-Hyder and I attracted lots of Trumbullians. On Monday evening (12/8) quite a few Trumbullians came to the HoC House for the Christmas Tree Viewing Party. On Thursday afternoon (12/11) there was an Appreciation Luncheon for all our Staff, Aides, and Frocos at the HoC House. You must have noticed that on Thursday evening (12/11) the Dining Hall was closed because of the Holiday Party for Trumbull Fellows. On Friday afternoon (12/12) there was a 25.5 Senior Farewell Luncheon for at the HoC House.
Below is the continuing list of events. Since timing is subject to change, please look out for emails.

This being my last note before the winter break, there will be many thanks.
A huge thanks to our Dining Hall, led by Kory Evasick, for the wonderful Harvest Dinner and Holiday Dinner they provided to us over the last few weeks. Thanks to our staff in Grounds and Facilities, led by May Cabahug, for keeping us neat and tidy through the different phases of changing weather and activities. Many thanks to our staff in the Dean’s and Head’s Offices (Alice Kustenbauder, Deborah Bellmore, Reese McLeod, Karen Eisenman) for their dedication to aiding in improving the quality of our students’ lives. I want to thank Adam Sexton for leading the charge on Mellon Forum and Mellon Grant. I am most appreciative of our Fellows and Graduate Affiliates for helping with so many activities. Finally, a multitude of thanks to Dean Surjit Chandhoke for her tireless efforts to keep track and give care to all our students.
Before we take off for the winter break, let me also remind you to consider applying for fellowships and awards. There are two summer fellowships, the Gurney Travel Fellowship for Juniors and the Richter Fellowship for any Trumbullian. The CPA Awards are available to all students, both in fall and spring. The application will be live on the Yale website on Monday, January 5th. Please visit the CPA website to learn more about the CPA awards.
As you prepare for the winter break, whether to see family or friends or engage in university-sponsored travel, please install the International SOS travel app on your smartphone. For international students, please make sure that you have all the necessary travel documents, etc.
Before you leave campus, I also remind you to get seasonal shots (flu, COVID).
I wish you a restful and peaceful break. May you enjoy the best of seasons with friends and family. Moo-Rah!
Sincerely,
MOO-RAH!
Fahmeed Hyder, HoC Trumbull
