TRUMBULL COLLEGE: September 13, 2021

I hope you all had a nice weekend! The weather has been gorgeous lately and I hope you’re enjoying time outside.

This Wednesday, September 15th at 5pm EST, Add/Drop period ends. Please look below under “Academics” for additional information. Pay particular attention to the notes about overlaps and overloads! If you have not yet met with your College Adviser/DUS/Dept Adviser, make that appointment ASAP. Remember that Leah and I are available if you have questions in the coming days (and always).

TRUMBULL COLLEGE: September 7, 2021

Hi, all! Hope you had some downtime over the long weekend. I know that we are into the Add/Drop period and I hope you are all doing okay! I know that for many, the first few days were chaotic, and it is possible that some of you are still feeling unsettled. Please know that 1) there is still quite a bit of time and 2) Leah and I are here to help.

And now for the final stretch of the term! The last week of classes is here, but I think we’re all ready, right? Tomorrow, I will start to send my usual end-of-term notices. I know these next few weeks are going to be busy, but please know that I am here – to cheer you on and to support you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out.

TRUMBULL COLLEGE: April 26, 2021

I hope you’re all hanging in there. I realized a couple of weeks ago that I needed to take my own advice and take a break – I was running on empty and those closest to me called me out on it. We went to Niantic for a little retreat over the weekend (including Break Day #5) – stayed in an Airbnb, went to the beach (it was cold, but who cares), caught up on sleep and ate lots of ice cream. It was much needed, and there’s a picture at the end of this newsletter if you scroll down.

Well – one thing is out of the way – Housing! Thank you for your patience last week, particularly as we piloted the new (to us) StarRez software. Huge thanks to our FroCos, who helped immensely with TC’24 housing and our Housing Reps, for their helpful feedback and questions throughout the process. I’m delighted that everyone fits in Trumbull!

My apologies for the delay in sending today’s Dean’s Notes. I hope that you’ve taken a moment to enjoy the beautiful weather today (It’s lovely in New Haven and I hope it’s lovely where you are if you’re enrolled remotely).

We are officially in the second half of the term. There are two seasonal items that happen in April – one is old (Housing) and one is new (Early Registration). My plan is to help Trumbullians get through these two processes smoothly. Know that I am here each step of the way.

TRUMBULL COLLEGE: March 22, 2021

Spring is here and my hope is that you’re enjoying more time outside these days. Another break day comes on Wednesday! I plan to take it off, and I hope you will carve out time for yourselves that day.

Sahej turned two last Friday! Thanks to Debbie Rueb and our amazing dining hall team, many of us enjoyed delicious cake that day! We celebrated throughout the weekend (I’ve included a little montage at the end of this newsletter, so you have to scroll to the end ;)).

TRUMBULL COLLEGE: March 15, 2021

I cannot stress enough how important it is to carve out time for yourself to rest/recharge. Sahej is off from daycare this week – yet another reminder that we should also be on break (!). Another break day comes next week and I hope you’ll savor it. I am glad I took off last week’s break day and plan to take the others off, too.
